Lots of new information below re Career Centre/Post-Secondary news Career Centre/Post-Secondary Info Invitation: World of Choices If you are a young woman in grade 10, 11 or 12, you are invited to join local female Career Mentors as they share exciting aspects of their work. You will be exposed to a variety of career possibilities and will have the opportunity to learn about the education and qualifications necessary to fulfill your chosen career path. You will leave this forum excited about your future and better equipped to meet the challenges of today’s work world. Event Details| Date: November 30, 2018 | Time: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. Location: Mount Royal University, Ross Glen Hall Cost: FREE. Local businesses and individuals will be sponsoring participants for this event The deadline for all applications is November 23rd. Please note that once capacity has been reached, registration will be closed. How it Works Get set for an exciting, fast-paced morning where you get the chance to talk with some amazing women in your community. The day will start with registration where you will find out who you will speak with throughout the day. Throughout the morning, you will circulate through 5 sessions to meet and interact with women from 5 different career backgrounds. At the end of the 5 sessions, lunch will be served. Terry Fox Humanitarian Award For Grade 12 students planning to attend post-secondary in the FALL 2019. Students demonstrating courage and humanitarianism in the face of adversity may apply for The Terry Fox Award. Students must show that they have passionately committed to initiatives aimed at reducing the suffering of others.
